Operated largely by volunteers, it reaches a global community of practitioners, scholars, and seekers from diverse backgrounds. Khyentse Foundation believes that the insights of Buddhist teachings are universal and beneficial to all, regardless of religious affiliation. Through its grants and initiatives, the Foundation aims to ensure the continuity and accessibility of authentic Buddhist knowledge.

About the Grant

The Individual Practice Grant supports individuals wishing to engage in Buddhist practice, including solitary or group retreats and other forms of dharma practice. Open to practitioners from all Buddhist traditions and schools, the grant is designed to provide financial assistance that enables focused spiritual practice. Awards are generally for one-year terms and may be renewed annually for longer retreats. The Foundation encourages sincere and committed practice aligned with Buddhist teachings. Applications are reviewed by an international selection committee, ensuring diverse representation and thoughtful evaluation of proposed practices.
