About the Grant

The IKI Large Grants (ILG) 2025 are launched by BMUKN and the Federal Foreign Office to address pressing global challenges related to climate change mitigation, adaptation, and biodiversity conservation. The grant supports large-scale, high-impact projects responding to defined thematic and country priorities. One to two projects will be selected under each priority area. Funding focuses on transformative approaches such as renewable energy systems, climate resilience, ecosystem restoration, bioeconomy solutions, and financial mobilisation for climate and biodiversity goals across priority regions.
