About Organisation

The Common Fund for Commodities (CFC) is an autonomous intergovernmental financial institution operating within the United Nations framework. With 101 member states and nine institutional members, the Fund works to strengthen and diversify commodity sectors. Its mission is to alleviate poverty by improving the income-generating capacity of commodity producers and reducing their economic vulnerability, while promoting sustainable growth, resilience, and inclusive development.

About the Grant

The CFC 28th Call for Proposals supports transformative, high-impact projects that empower smallholder farmers, strengthen resilient ecosystems, and promote inclusive community development. The grant focuses on aligning commercial viability with environmental regeneration and social inclusion. Supported projects aim to improve access to high-value markets, encourage climate-smart and regenerative agricultural practices, enable local value addition, and protect biodiversity. Priority is given to initiatives that build sustainable value chains where smallholders, workers, and local enterprises benefit equitably, fostering long-term income growth, dignity, and ecological resilience.

Applications are open to SMEs, cooperatives, social enterprises, NGOs, and public or private sector entities based in, or actively operating within, any of the 101 CFC member countries.
