Through its initiatives, the foundation emphasizes visionary scholarship, multi-method approaches, and meaningful engagement with stakeholders to influence policy, practice, and pedagogy, ultimately transforming education systems.
About the Grant
The Vision Grants program provides funding for research teams to collaboratively plan innovative, interdisciplinary projects that aim to transform education systems for equity. These grants offer support for 6 to 12 months, enabling scholars to design ambitious, large-scale studies addressing critical challenges and opportunities in education. Proposals should emphasize systemic transformation, highlight collaboration with diverse stakeholders, and outline a clear vision for real-world impact. This planning phase allows teams to develop methodologies, identify levers for change, and propose equitable, evidence-based solutions. Vision Grants are distinct from other programs as they focus on generating research ideas rather than executing fully developed plans. Selected projects may later qualify for the Transformative Research Grant program, designed to implement large-scale research projects.
