About the Grant

ICFJ’s Reporting Grants program offers journalists financial support to pursue in-depth reporting on key global issues, starting with climate change. Grants of $2,000-$3,000 will be awarded to selected journalists for impactful, data-driven stories, particularly from the Global South. This initiative encourages high-quality reporting on climate change in underrepresented areas. The selected grantees will also receive potential mentorship to enhance their journalistic work. This first round of grants will support stories that explore the effects of climate change and help expand ICFJ’s global impact.

Who can Apply?

The ICFJ Reporting Grants are open to journalists worldwide, including freelancers, staff journalists, and teams of newsrooms.
