About Organisation
Play for Nature is a conservation-focused endowment fund established in 2013 to support the protection of endangered species and ecosystems worldwide. The organization combines biodiversity conservation with community engagement through three key initiatives: Biodiv’World, Biodiv’Sport, and Biodiv’Educ. It provides financial and technical support to projects that promote wildlife protection, environmental education, and sustainable conservation practices. Through partnerships with conservation organizations, researchers, educators, and local communities, Play for Nature works to create measurable environmental impact while raising public awareness about biodiversity challenges and the importance of protecting vulnerable species and their habitats.
About the Grant
The BiodivSport Grant Programme 2026 supports biodiversity conservation grants that integrate sports into endangered species protection and environmental awareness activities. For the 2027 funding cycle, all grants will be awarded under the Biodiv’Sport pillar. Eligible projects must focus on conserving species classified as Vulnerable, Endangered, or Critically Endangered on the IUCN Red List. Sports activities may include organizing sporting events, partnering with existing sports competitions, or using sport-based engagement to educate communities about biodiversity conservation. The grant encourages projects that combine conservation action, community participation, ecosystem protection, and awareness-building to achieve lasting environmental outcomes.
