About Organisation

The Building Power Resource Center (BPRC) is a strategy and technical assistance organization that supports collaboration between community groups, labor unions, and local governments to advance ambitious climate policies. BPRC focuses on developing and implementing decarbonization initiatives that benefit working communities while strengthening democratic participation. The organization promotes an “inside-outside” strategy, combining grassroots organizing with government partnerships to deliver impactful climate and economic programs. By helping communities design and implement equitable clean energy solutions, BPRC aims to accelerate the transition to a sustainable economy while empowering local leaders and strengthening civic institutions.

About the Grant

The Building Power Resource Center Fellowship supports recent master’s graduates who want to contribute to climate policy implementation and community-based initiatives. Fellows work closely with BPRC partners—including community organizations and government agencies—on projects related to climate action, economic policy, and clean energy transition. Participants support policy research, campaign strategy, grant writing, and project management while helping partners secure funding and implement programs. Fellows also collaborate with experienced organizers and public officials to develop replicable climate and jobs initiatives. The fellowship aims to build a pipeline of policy professionals skilled in bridging grassroots organizing with government policy implementation.
