About Organisation

Culture For Health is an EU-funded initiative that strengthens collaboration between the cultural sector and health, care, and social systems across Europe. Through research, capacity building, and funding, the programme supports artists and cultural practitioners to contribute meaningfully to physical, mental, and social wellbeing. It is part of the wider Culture and Health Platform, which promotes cross-sector learning and long-term integration of culture into public health and social care frameworks.

About the Grant

The Culture For Health Grant 2026 supports practice-based learning for artists and cultural practitioners working in the culture and health field in Sweden. The grant focuses on professional knowledge development through structured collaboration with healthcare, care, or social work organisations. It is not intended for artistic production or public events, but for deepening expertise, skills, and applied learning rooted in the applicant’s own artistic practice.

Who can Apply?

Applicants must be individual artists or cultural practitioners who are professionally active and registered in Sweden. They must hold a Swedish personal identity or coordination number and have approximately 1–3 years of experience in the culture and health field. Applicants must collaborate with an eligible healthcare, care, or social work organisation based in Stockholm, Uppsala, or Skåne. Organisations or collectives are not eligible.

How to Apply?

Applicants must define a clear learning goal, identify an eligible collaboration partner, design a structured collaboration plan, and submit an application according to the programme guidelines before the deadline.
