Zero Waste Market (ZWM) Project – RFP

HCLFoundation is the CSR (corporate social responsibility) arm of HCLTech in India, operating as a not-for-profit organisation. It runs multiple long-term sustainable programmes with thematic focus on Environment, Urban Development, Education, Health, Skill Development & Livelihoods, and Disaster Risk Reduction & Response. Its flagship “My Clean City” programme works to address urban challenges through solid waste management, behaviour change, beautification and civic infrastructure upgrades. HCLFoundation emphasises inclusive development, gender sensitivity, environmental sustainability, and engaging local communities in its work.

The ZWM – Zero Waste Market project, under the My Clean City programme, aims to implement solid waste management and citizen engagement initiatives in market areas of Greater Noida, Gautam Budh Nagar, Uttar Pradesh. Key objectives include promoting environmental awareness, reducing single-use plastics, beautifying public spaces, enhancing utility infrastructure, and improving waste collection and management in selected markets. The project intends to support behaviour change through communication and outreach, ensure visible improvements to sanitation/utility services, and partner with local markets/citizens to create model “zero waste” zones.
