About Organisation

The World Hearing Forum (WHF), in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Coalition for Global Hearing Health (CGHH), plays a vital role in promoting hearing health worldwide. These organizations aim to raise awareness about deafness and hearing loss, especially during events like World Hearing Day. By focusing on key issues surrounding ear and hearing care, they strive to shift mindsets within civil society and among healthcare professionals, encouraging global action to improve access to hearing healthcare. World Hearing Day, observed annually on March 3, provides a platform for highlighting the importance of addressing hearing-related challenges and advocating for better hearing care services. Through this initiative, the WHF, WHO, and CGHH support global efforts to reduce the burden of hearing loss and promote inclusive hearing care for all.

About the Grant

The WHF-CGHH Small Grants Program supports the celebration of World Hearing Day 2025, which will take place on March 3 with the theme “Changing Mindsets: Empower yourself to make Ear and Hearing Care a reality for all.” The grant offers financial assistance of up to $800 USD to organizations planning events related to World Hearing Day activities. The aim is to raise awareness about hearing loss among the general population and policymakers, encouraging a shift in attitudes toward hearing care. Grants will be awarded to a maximum of 50 organizations based on the recommendations of a selection panel. The funding can cover expenses related to event planning, such as venue costs, materials, and outreach efforts. The program emphasizes the use of WHO’s awareness materials, with an expectation of measurable outcomes for each event. Grantees will be required to submit a brief report along with photos after the event to finalize the grant disbursement.
