About the Grant
The Western Union Global Fellowship 2026 is a fully funded 16-week virtual fellowship designed for entrepreneurs and community leaders serving historically underserved, refugee, displaced, and marginalised communities.
The program offers expert-led workshops covering business growth, sales strategies, funding readiness, impact measurement, and venture scaling. Fellows receive:
- one-on-one mentorship from experienced entrepreneurs
- pitch coaching
- access to a global network of innovators.
Participants also lead a local Basecamp to strengthen community engagement while growing their ventures. This fellowship equips social entrepreneurs with the skills, connections, and practical strategies needed to achieve sustainable growth and long-term social impact.
Who can Apply?
The fellowship welcomes entrepreneurs and community leaders who have an established business model and are actively serving customers or beneficiaries in historically underserved communities.
Applicants should either be based in or creating measurable impact in the United States, Costa Rica, India, Philippines, Lithuania, Argentina, Italy, Brazil, or Peru.
The program is ideal for founders of social enterprises, nonprofit leaders, and mission-driven innovators who are ready to scale their ventures.
Applicants should demonstrate a commitment to community development, leadership potential, and the ability to participate fully in the 16-week virtual fellowship while implementing learnings within their organizations.
