About the Grant

The Ulam NAWA Programme supports Polish universities and research institutes in hosting outstanding international researchers for 6 to 24 months. It supports activities such as scientific research, publication development, grant preparation, and optional teaching. Open to all disciplines, the programme aims to enhance knowledge exchange and research output in Poland. Who can Apply?

Applications must be submitted by Polish higher education institutions or research institutes on behalf of an international researcher (Principal Investigator). The researcher must hold a doctoral degree and be affiliated with a foreign institution or have recently completed such employment. They should not have resided in Poland for more than three consecutive months within the past three years. Applicants must demonstrate at least three significant scientific achievements in the last five years. The host institution must provide full-time employment, research infrastructure, and administrative support, ensuring the researcher resides in Poland during the project period.

How to Apply?

The Polish host institution must confirm eligibility and identify a qualified international researcher. Ensure the researcher meets mobility and academic requirements. Develop a research-focused project including publications, grant development, and optional teaching. Plan employment for 6–24 months within the specified timeline. Prepare a detailed budget within funding limits and submit the application through the host institution before the deadline.
