About the Grant
The Solutions for Healthy Communities Grant Program is designed to drive innovation in healthcare accessibility for underserved communities. This initiative supports non-profit organizations that implement community-based solutions to improve healthcare services for populations historically marginalized in the healthcare system. The grant focuses on expanding healthcare access through multiple approaches, including empowering communities with health education, developing new models of care, strengthening community healthcare workforces, and enhancing the capacity of local health organizations. Projects may also contribute to strengthening national and regional health systems, ensuring long-term impact. The program is open to initiatives supporting displaced individuals, indigenous communities, people living in poverty or remote areas, migrant populations, minoritized ethnic groups, individuals with diverse gender identities or sexual orientations, and those with disabilities. Grants will be awarded for a two-year project period, with funding ranging from $50,000 to $300,000. Successful applicants will demonstrate a clear vision for improving healthcare access, an ability to implement effective community-based strategies, and a commitment to sustainability. By funding these initiatives, MSD aims to bridge healthcare gaps and promote equity in global health.
