By supporting diverse approaches and methodologies, Spencer encourages researchers to explore complex questions that address pressing issues in education, with the goal of fostering equitable and inclusive learning environments for all.

About the Grant

The Small Research Grants on Education Program by the Spencer Foundation aims to support education-focused research projects that are intellectually ambitious and methodologically sound. It is a field-initiated program, meaning there is no specific research topic or method required. Instead, it allows for a wide variety of research designs and approaches, from quantitative and qualitative studies to mixed-methods and participatory research. The ultimate objective is to promote studies that contribute to solving the most critical issues in education today, fostering insights that can enhance learning experiences across a wide range of educational settings.
