Seen and Heard Programme

Application Deadline:

About Organisation
The Servicewomen: Seen and Heard Programme is an initiative under the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust, dedicated to improving the wellbeing of women currently serving in the armed forces. The programme recognises the unique physical, emotional, and psychological challenges faced by servicewomen and seeks to support them through well-structured and need-specific interventions. With a focus on empowerment and access, the initiative funds projects that provide tailored education, resources, and support mechanisms designed specifically for serving women in the military. Whether preventative or responsive, these efforts are meant to equip servicewomen with the tools, knowledge, and care essential for navigating their roles while safeguarding their health and wellbeing. The organisation operates globally, supporting efforts across armed forces units, bases, and ships to ensure servicewomen, no matter where they are stationed, are seen, heard, and supported in meaningful ways.
About the Grant
The Servicewomen: Seen and Heard Programme offers a funding opportunity for two-year projects that aim to enhance support for women serving in the armed forces. This grant is intended for initiatives that directly address the unique health and wellbeing needs of servicewomen and provide access to specialised information and services. Projects should align with one of four key outcomes: helping servicewomen reduce risks to their wellbeing through informed choices; improving physical health support with initiatives that complement existing statutory services; enhancing mental health and wellbeing services with targeted interventions; or offering comprehensive education about the health challenges faced by servicewomen. These outcomes seek to not only offer immediate assistance but also contribute to long-term, sustainable support mechanisms. Grants will be awarded to projects that can demonstrate a significant and positive impact on the lives of servicewomen, particularly those that offer inclusive, practical, and innovative solutions to challenges often overlooked in mainstream support systems.
Who can Apply?
Applications are welcomed from a range of organisations with a commitment to supporting servicewomen’s wellbeing. Eligible applicants include registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CICs), and armed forces units, bases, or ships operating anywhere around the globe. Organisations must have a clear plan for delivering a project that meets one or more of the programme’s key outcomes. Priority will be given to projects that offer accessible, inclusive, and targeted support solutions that complement existing statutory services. Proposals should clearly demonstrate the applicant’s capacity to implement and sustain the project over the two-year period, with measurable outcomes and defined impact. Organisations should also ensure that the proposed activities directly address the distinct needs of servicewomen—whether in terms of mental health, physical wellbeing, or health education. While collaboration with other service providers is encouraged, the applying organisation must retain the lead role and accountability for project delivery and reporting.
How to Apply?
To apply, eligible organisations should prepare a detailed project proposal that clearly aligns with at least one of the programme’s stated outcomes. Applications must include information on planned activities, expected outcomes, budget, and organisational capacity. The submission process requires completing the application form provided by the grant-making body, with all required documents uploaded before the deadline.
