About the Grant
HealthTech India 2026 is a flagship programme designed to connect Swiss startups in life sciences, medtech, and digital health with India’s rapidly expanding healthcare ecosystem. Managed by Swissnex and powered by Innosuisse, the programme provides startups with a unique platform to validate their products, explore strategic collaborations, and unlock growth opportunities in one of the world’s largest healthcare markets.
The programme spans a one-week on-site camp in India in February 2026, preceded by four to six weeks of preparatory virtual sessions with Swissnex coaches. Startups will participate in bilateral meetings with key Indian healthtech stakeholders, supported by Swissnex’s structured coaching and briefing sessions. A major highlight is the opportunity to showcase innovations at BioAsia 2026, a leading healthcare conference in Hyderabad, providing visibility to global investors and industry leaders.
Participants benefit from travel stipends of CHF 3,000 for Market Validation Camp and CHF 6,000 for Market Entry Camp. Additionally, 15 days of post-visit support ensure startups can follow up on leads and partnerships developed during the programme. With India’s healthcare sector valued at USD 372 billion and projected to grow significantly, the programme offers Swiss startups access to vast patient populations, diverse testing environments, and potential for scalable global impact.
Who can Apply?
The HealthTech India 2026 programme is open to healthtech startups that are legally headquartered in Switzerland. Eligible companies must be incorporated within the last five years and demonstrate strong potential to expand into global markets. Startups should ideally be working in life sciences, medtech, or digital health, with solutions that address pressing healthcare needs.
Applicants are encouraged from early to growth stages, provided they have at least a late-stage prototype developed and are ready for market validation. Preference will be given to startups actively engaged in the Innosuisse Coaching Programme, whether in the initial, core, or scale-up phases. Such startups will benefit from synergies between their ongoing coaching and the opportunities provided through this programme.
The initiative particularly seeks startups with innovations that can be tested in real-world environments, ranging from cost-effective diagnostic solutions for mass populations to high-end personalised healthcare technologies. The programme is designed to support companies that are not only market-ready but also willing to engage with India’s dynamic healthcare ecosystem for co-development and clinical validation. By participating, Swiss startups can position themselves strategically in a high-growth market while contributing to global healthcare transformation through innovation, scalability, and cross-border collaboration.
