About the Grant

The HCLTech Grant 2026 India is designed to recognize and support NGOs delivering impactful rural development projects. The grant focuses on four key areas: Water, Biodiversity, Health, and Education. Selected NGOs demonstrating strong implementation capabilities and proven impact receive significant funding to scale their initiatives. Each winning organization in these categories is awarded ₹5 Crore for a four-year project, while eight runners-up receive ₹50 Lakhs for two-year projects. Who can Apply?

Eligible applicants are NGOs operating in India with experience in rural development across Water, Biodiversity, Health, or Education sectors. Organizations must be legally registered and possess valid documentation such as PAN, audited financials, 80G, 12A/10(23C), and FCRA (if applicable). Applicants should have a proven track record of implementing impactful projects in rural areas and maintain strong relationships with local authorities. The organization’s by-laws must permit work in the chosen thematic area. Additionally, applicants and governing members must have no pending legal cases.
