About the Grant

The GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition 2026 is designed to recognize and support young African entrepreneurs building innovative and scalable agribusiness ventures. The competition promotes solutions that improve agrifood systems, strengthen food security, enhance climate resilience, and generate employment opportunities. Priority areas include agricultural production, food processing, logistics, aggregation, nutrition, technology innovation, digital agriculture, and gender-inclusive business models. Participants benefit from visibility, networking, mentorship, and financial awards that help accelerate business growth. The programme seeks to empower youth-led enterprises capable of creating measurable social, environmental, and economic impact while advancing sustainable development across Africa’s agricultural value chains.

Who can Apply?

Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age and be nationals of an African Union member state. Eligible candidates must be founders or co-founders actively involved in managing their agribusiness venture. The business should be legally registered or in the process of registration and headquartered within an African Union member country. Ventures should operate within the agrifood sector and demonstrate innovation, scalability, sustainability, and impact. Applicants are encouraged to showcase solutions that address food security, climate resilience, job creation, gender equity, agricultural technology, or value chain development. All participants must satisfy the competition’s eligibility criteria.

How to Apply?

Interested agripreneurs should complete the application process by providing detailed information about their business model, innovation, impact, scalability, and leadership role within the venture. Applicants should clearly explain how their solution contributes to agrifood system transformation and sustainable development. Eligible submissions will be evaluated based on innovation, market potential, social impact, and business viability. Shortlisted candidates may be invited to participate in further assessment and presentation stages.
