About Organisation
The International Disability Alliance (IDA) represents a coalition of over 1,100 organizations that advocate for persons with disabilities across eight global and six regional networks. IDA works towards amplifying the voices of persons with disabilities and promoting inclusive development. They play a pivotal role in the Global Disability Summit (GDS), ensuring that Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) have the opportunity to actively engage in shaping global disability inclusion policies. IDA’s efforts focus on empowering grassroots, national, and regional organizations to contribute to decision-making, advocacy, and ensuring the sustainable inclusion of persons with disabilities in all aspects of society.
About the Grant
The GDS 2025 funding initiative supports the participation of up to 200 representatives from OPDs at the Global Disability Summit in Berlin from April 1 to April 3, 2025. This summit is a global platform for advancing disability inclusion, bringing together diverse stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities for persons with disabilities, particularly from the Global South.
