About the Grant
The ChadTough Defeat DIPG New Investigator Grant supports early-stage researchers dedicated to advancing DIPG/DMG research. Over three years, it funds hypothesis-driven studies that address critical questions and improve scientific knowledge in this field. This grant is tailored for new independent researchers establishing DIPG/DMG labs or experienced scientists transitioning to DIPG/DMG research. The program encourages collaborative and innovative approaches to uncover the causes and treatments for childhood brain cancer while fostering the next generation of specialists in this crucial area.
Who can Apply?
Applicants must hold an academic appointment and be in their first independent faculty role or equivalent for no more than six years at an accredited institution. Established researchers without prior experience in brain tumor research are also eligible. Independence is demonstrated by a tenure-track position, allocated lab space, and institutional support.
