Application Deadline:
December 15, 2024
About Organisation
The Robert Bosch Stiftung’s new funding program, Building Power for Economic Justice, seeks to address structural economic injustices by supporting organizations led by individuals with lived experiences of economic inequality. The program prioritizes initiatives that amplify underrepresented voices and empower communities to challenge inequitable systems. Its approach centers on care, technology, and wealth—key areas intertwined with economic justice. Through multi-year grants, the program aims to foster long-term sustainability, enabling organizations to focus on development, learning, and community well-being. The foundation recognizes economic injustice as a growing challenge globally, driven by unfair distributions of resources, opportunities, and power. This initiative emphasizes inclusivity, equity, and representation, ensuring those directly affected by inequality play pivotal roles in shaping solutions. The program aspires to create a fairer world where every individual has the opportunity to thrive.
About the Grant
The Building Power for Economic Justice funding program supports organizations addressing systemic economic inequities across care, technology, and wealth. With €1.6 million allocated, eight organizations will receive funding for up to five years. This program seeks to strengthen grassroots efforts, policy-making initiatives, and organizational development. Eligible activities include enhancing team well-being, advancing ongoing work, and fostering organizational growth. The application process involves two stages, starting with an open call for submissions, followed by a detailed evaluation of shortlisted candidates. A jury of experts, including individuals with lived experience of economic inequality, oversees funding decisions. Grants prioritize underrepresented groups, supporting their efforts to drive systemic change and amplify their voices in economic decision-making.
