He has led deals across energy, water, smart agriculture, alternative proteins, and broader climate technologies.

Gaurav Shah

Mr. Shah brings 16+ years of experience in leading and managing private equity investments as a partner in the San Francisco Bay Area. He advises decision-makers — GPs, LPs, Asset Managers, Board Members, and the CXO suite — on value creation strategies that enhance TVPI, IRRs, and Enterprise Values across investments and fund portfolios. He is a Qualified Non-Executive Director (NED) / Independent Director (IICA, India).
CEO, India Climate Collaborative

Shloka Nath

Shloka is the CEO of the India Climate Collaborative, a non-profit focused on mobilising philanthropic capital to accelerate climate action in India. Prior to this, she led the Sustainability and Policy & Advocacy portfolios at the Tata Trusts. She also co-founded and was the Managing Partner of Sankhya Women Impact Funds, a gender lens fund with a focus on sustainability. She started her career as a journalist, with a decade of experience at the BBC in London, as a news anchor with NDTV and a Principal Correspondent with Forbes in Mumbai. She is also the author of the book, “Hidden India: Journey to Where the Wild Things Are” (April 2018), a compendium of photographs and writing about Indian wildlife and landscapes.
Partner, Elevar Equity

Shobha Venkataraman

Shobha has over 15 years of experience in private equity fund administration. She began her career at Toucan Capital, a Washington-DC based venture capital fund, gaining experience in fund accounting and compliance management of Small Business Investment Companies (SBIC) licensed under the US-SBA run investment program. She then moved to PEF Services, a New York City based provider of outsourced fund administration services, where she worked extensively with over 50 PE and VC funds of different sizes, structures, and investment strategies to meet their financial reporting, fund administration, and compliance requirements. Prior to joining Elevar, she spent over five years at Treeline Business Solutions, an India-based KPO, managing their private equity services vertical.

At Elevar, Shobha leads the firm's finance (funds, corporate and strategic) and fund administration, mid and back office operations, compliance and reporting — working closely with the firm's external audit, tax and legal advisors, and providing critical support on organizational development and key systems/processes.

Partner - Omnivore.vc

Subhadeep Sanyal

Subhadeep returned to early-stage investing after more than a decade at Omnivore, where he served as Partner, focused on India's agriculture, food, and rural economy sectors. He joined Omnivore Partners in June 2011, where he focused on sourcing deals in agricultural mechanization, supply chain technologies, and sustainable inputs. Previously, he interned with Mahindra, supporting their entry into drip irrigation.

He joined Wavemaker Impact (now spun off as decarbonization platform 100×100) as Partner to lead the organization's activity in India. At Wavemaker Impact, he builds 100X100 Ventures — startups aiming to cut 100 million tons of CO₂ while earning $100 million doing it — including companies like RegenX (circular batteries), Agros (climate-smart farming), and Wastex.

He earned a B.Sc. (Honors) in Agricultural Science from Haryana Agricultural University, where he was the batch topper, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Agribusiness Management from IIM-Ahmedabad.

Purvi Bhavsar

Purvi Bhavsar is a first-generation entrepreneur from Ahmedabad and co-founder of Pahal Financial Services Pvt. Limited. She currently serves as Independent Director at G.D. Foods Mfg. (India) Pvt. Ltd., and her career also spans roles at Welingkar Institute of Management, Suyas Advisory LLP, and Inflection Point Ventures.

She is an alumna of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, and holds a 2023 Acumen India Fellowship from Acumen Academy. Her skill set spans leadership, MIS, retail banking, new business development, and management.

Gautam John

Gautam John is the CEO of Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies. Prior to this, he spent several years with the Akshara Foundation, building the Karnataka Learning Partnership, and at Pratham Books, building their open-source publishing model. He also advises organisations including Pratham Books, Akshara Foundation, and Children's Lovecastles Trust. He was a TED India Fellow in 2009. Before entering the nonprofit sector, he was an entrepreneur for six years.

He graduated with a Bachelor of Law from the National Law School of India University in 2002.

A B Chakravarthy

A B Chakravarthy, known as Chakra, is a seasoned impact investment professional with over 15 years of experience in early-stage enterprise and impact investing. As Upaya's India Country Director for three years, he led a portfolio of 19 active investments through a successful post-COVID recovery, added 8 new companies, and helped increase dignified jobs from 24,811 to 42,487 by 2024 — a rise of over 70%. He also spearheaded successful exits from several investments and drove a fundraising boost of $24.2 million (6x increase) across portfolio companies.

His prior roles include Principal at Agri NewGen Ventures/International Tractors Limited, Principal at Menterra Venture Advisors (where he helped conceptualize and launch the Menterra Fund in 2016 and led agriculture investments), and Senior Investment Manager at Villgro Innovations. His investment expertise spans AgriTech, CleanTech, EdTech, HealthTech, energy, water & sanitation, and waste management.

He holds a B.Tech in Horticulture from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and an M.Sc. in Information and Communication Technology in Agriculture and Rural Development from DA-IICT.

Founder of Gytree and SheThePeople

Shaili Chopra

Shaili Chopra is an Indian business journalist, author, and entrepreneur. She is the founder of SheThePeople.TV, an Indian digital media platform focused on women-related news and content, as well as Gytree. As a business journalist, she is known for her work at CNBC, NDTV Profit, and ET Now, and won the 2012 Ramnath Goenka Award for Excellence in Business Journalism among other honors. She later transitioned into entrepreneurship and has authored four books: Feminist Rani (Penguin), When I Was 25 (Random House), Big Connect – Social Media and Indian Politics (Random House), and Birdies in Business (Times Books).

She is an Aspen Institute and Stanford Draper Hills Fellow, and was recognized in the 40 Under 40 list. She trained in broadcast journalism with the BBC.

Aakash Shah

Aakash Shah is an experienced investor, entrepreneur, and operator with 10+ years of VC experience, having built domain expertise across Energy, Food Systems, Water, Climate, and several other verticals. He is co-founder of NeonVest, a VC-backed SaaS startup he founded in 2018 connecting early-stage founders with top-tier VCs and operators, which was successfully acquired by AI Turbo in 2024.

Prior to Peak, he co-led the Asia portfolio at Accion Venture Lab (Washington D.C.), a global fintech impact fund, leading deals in consumer credit, SME lending, and micro-insurance. He also led early-stage deals at Sattva Capital (Mumbai), a private investment office, including investments in Energy Web Foundation and Shortlist. He began his career at Aksia, a $150bn AUA New York-based hedge fund advisory firm.

He is a TEDx speaker, having given a talk titled "The Hidden Cost of Everything We Do," and serves as Co-President of the Bleeker Street Angel Group, an India-focused angel network for NYU alumni.

He holds a B.Sc. in Finance and International Business from NYU Stern School of Business.

Shiva Shanker

Shiva Shanker leads investments in industrial innovation, climate technologies, energy systems, and emerging technology sectors at Ankur Capital, with substantial experience building investment teams and leading tech investments across agri, climate, and the future of work. He has been part of Ankur Capital's investment team since 2017, managing agri and deeptech investments while also leading investments in education, healthtech, and other upcoming sectors. His portfolio includes companies like Vegrow, BigHaat, Offgrid Energy Labs, Josh Talks, MyCaptain, and successful exits from TBH Foods and Carmel Organics.

Prior to Ankur Capital, he spent 5 years as an investor with Grassroots Business Fund, an impact investor, working across investment management and portfolio supervision in India, Indonesia, and Africa. He also held earlier operating roles at startups, including leading the revenue function for a solar distribution startup.

Co-founder and CEO - Stride Green Capital Private Limited

Vivek Jain

Vivek Jain is Co-Founder and CEO of Stride Green Capital, an asset finance and leasing company he co-founded with Ishpreet Singh Gandhi in 2024. Stride Green offers sustainable asset financing solutions, enabling businesses to lease and manage eco-friendly assets such as electric vehicles (EVs), EV batteries, solar panels, and charging stations, with tools for demand generation, real-time asset monitoring, and fleet management. In June 2025, the company raised USD 3.5 million in seed funding co-led by Incubate Fund and Axilor Ventures, with assets under management exceeding 5,000 units.

Vivek leads the EV financing and leasing business across vehicle form factors, collaborating with OEMs, charging infrastructure companies, logistics and ecommerce conglomerates, and battery ecosystem partners. Prior to this, he was a Director at Stride Ventures, where he led investments through the full lifecycle from deal sourcing to monitoring, and managed investor relations and strategic partnerships with VCs, banks, and other institutions.

He brings more than 17 years of experience in Wholesale Banking — including large and mid-size corporate relationships, startups, investment banking, structured finance, and project finance — with leading banks such as HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and IDFC FIRST Bank.

Yashodhara Bakliwal

Yashodhara Bakliwal is an Investment Consultant at the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, bringing expertise in investment and financial analysis with a strong focus on financial analysis and investment management. As an Equity Investment Professional at Oikocredit, she contributed to social impact investing, utilizing capabilities in financial inclusion, agriculture, and renewable energy — enabling people on low incomes across Africa, Asia, and Latin America to improve their living standards sustainably through loans, equity investments, and capacity building.

Earlier in her career, as a TAS Associate at EY, she was involved in due diligence across buy-side and sell-side transactions in multiple sectors, including renewable energy, EPC, manufacturing, real estate, and entertainment, studying the business, profitability, and financial position of prospective targets. She has also served as a Board Member at RGVN (North East) Microfinance Ltd.

Managing Partner, Pavestone

V Laxmikanth

V Laxmikanth (VLK) is Managing Partner at Pavestone Capital, a Hyderabad-based venture capital firm supporting deeptech and enterprise-tech founders through its Pavestone Technology Fund, a SEBI-registered AIF that closed its first fund at INR 816 crore (~USD 97M). He is a pioneer of the Indian IT industry with more than 35 years of global leadership in Business Strategy & Sales, Product & Technical Innovation, and Mergers & Acquisitions.

For the last 15 years, he served as India MD and a Member of the Global Executive Committee of Broadridge Financial Solutions. Prior to that, he established and grew India offices for global enterprises such as ADP, D.E. Shaw, and Intergraph. He was a Member of the Investment Committee and an LP in the Parampara Early-Stage Opportunities Fund, and is also part of the NASSCOM GCC Council.

He has extensive experience building, deploying, and supporting large-scale enterprise-grade SaaS products for global clientele, holds a patent for a Blockchain-based innovation, and has set up Centers of Excellence for AI/ML and Big Data.

Ashish Khetan

Ashish Khetan is President & Chief Investment Officer at Indigram Labs Foundation (ILF), a DST-supported Technology Business Incubator established in 2015 that has backed 80+ agritech and foodtech startups since 2018, including Farmley, Tractor Junction, Intello Labs, and Absolute. He is also Founding Partner at Benzai10 Investment Ventures Private Limited. In his role, he oversees incubation, grants, and programmatic support for early-stage teams building in agriculture, climate, carbon, and deeptech, and has been instrumental in ILF's investment strategy — including plans for a follow-on investment fund for startups scaling from Series A to Series B.

Prior to Indigram Labs, he held roles including Chief Operating Officer at FIFA (Federation of Indian FPO's & Aggregators), positions at Pashupati Overseas Pte Ltd, and Financial Controller at Morgan Stanley & Co. He brings over 13 years of experience in agriculture commodities trade and finance.

Arvind Modi

Arvind Modi is a General Partner at Sathguru Catalysers with two decades of experience in Venture Capital and Private Equity investments. He has managed the full VC lifecycle — including fundraising, investments, and exits — and has led investments from five funds, with liquidation of three. His investment portfolio spans multiple sectors including agritech, renewables, education, healthcare, medtech, consumer, logistics, manufacturing, mobile, internet, and other technologies.

Before joining Sathguru Catalysers, he served as Vice President (Investments) at GVFL Limited, one of India's oldest venture capital firms. He also played a key role in establishing the North-East Venture Fund. He is a frequent speaker at startup events, actively mentors startups and incubation centres, and has served on various committees including the Government of India's BIRAC BIG Grant, Startup India Seed Fund, and Nidhi Prayas.

Shramay Jha

Shramay Jha is an investment professional with over 5 years of experience in the Indian Private Markets space. He has been an entrepreneur with two dorm room startups in the education and fin-tech space. He has prior experience handling portfolio support operations for India's largest cross-border accelerator and has led market entry projects for a global consulting firm into India and China. He has also advised the nation's highest offices on investment policy and supported investments into Indian GPs as part of India's National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency (Invest India).
