About the Grant

The AI First Accelerator is a 3-month equity-free accelerator program designed to assist Indian startups leveraging Artificial Intelligence. This initiative supports startups working on core AI models, multimodal systems, and agentic AI by offering a robust support system that includes mentorship from Google’s AI experts, access to cutting-edge resources, and global networking opportunities. Startups accepted into the program receive access to advanced AI tools such as Cloud TPUs and generous cloud credits, which allow for faster development and scaling of AI models. The programme aims to equip startups not just with technical expertise, but also with strategic insights and investor connect opportunities to boost growth. Focused on solving real-world problems through AI, it is especially geared towards startups innovating in vital sectors such as health, agriculture, education, finance, sustainability, and developer tools. By removing equity obligations, the initiative encourages founders to focus on long-term impact without dilution of ownership.

Who can Apply?

Indian startups that are in the seed to Series A stage are eligible to apply for the AI First Accelerator. To qualify, startups must be building solutions centered around AI. This includes work in foundational AI models, agentic AI systems (such as autonomous agents), core AI technologies, and multimodal AI applications that integrate various data types such as text, image, and voice. The programme is open to startups aiming to address key areas like healthcare and life sciences, education and skill development, agriculture and rural innovation, climate and sustainability, financial inclusion and fintech, and infrastructure or developer tools for AI. Applicants should demonstrate innovative potential, scalability, and a clear vision for applying AI to solve real-world problems. Teams with a strong technical foundation and a product either in development or early deployment are encouraged to apply. Startups must be legally registered in India and operate within the country.

How to Apply?

Interested startups can apply by filling out the official application form on the Google for Startups Accelerator platform. Candidates must submit details about their startup’s vision, AI solution, market potential, and team expertise.

Application Deadline

The deadline for submitting applications is June 30, 2025. Early applications are encouraged for timely consideration.

Grant Amount

This is an equity-free accelerator and does not provide direct monetary funding, but selected startups receive valuable support in the form of cloud credits, technical mentorship, and infrastructure access.
