About Organisation
The European Youth Foundation (EYF) is a funding body of the Council of Europe supporting youth organisations and initiatives that promote human rights, democracy, peace, intercultural dialogue and youth participation. EYF grants support international youth cooperation and projects that help young people participate actively in democratic societies and address social challenges. The Foundation works with eligible youth organisations across Europe and supports activities such as international meetings, training, advocacy, educational resources, campaigns and longer-term cooperation projects. For 2027, EYF has opened calls for international one-off youth cooperation activities and international long-term youth cooperation projects. Applicants must meet the Foundation’s organisational registration and eligibility requirements.
About the Grant
The 2027 EYF calls support international youth cooperation activities and long-term youth projects. One-off international activities can receive grants of up to €25,000, while long-term international projects can receive up to €60,000. Supported activities may include youth meetings, seminars, conferences, training courses, study visits, campaigns, advocacy projects, research, educational resources and local or regional activities. Projects should contribute to the Council of Europe’s youth priorities, including democratic participation, human rights, inclusion, peaceful societies and youth work.
Who can Apply?
Eligible applicants are youth non-governmental organisations and networks registered with the European Youth Foundation. Organisations must satisfy the EYF’s registration and eligibility criteria before applying. The projects must involve young people and contribute to the Foundation’s thematic priorities. Applicants should ensure their organisation has been validated before the deadline because EYF registration can take time. Projects should have an international youth cooperation dimension and demonstrate clear objectives, activities, expected outcomes and appropriate budgeting. Individuals cannot apply independently for these organisational grants.
How to Apply?
Eligible youth organisations should register with the European Youth Foundation and review the relevant 2027 call documentation. Applicants should prepare the narrative proposal, budget and supporting information through the EYF online system. Organisations not already registered should begin registration well before the deadline because validation must be completed before submission. The application should demonstrate international cooperation, youth participation, relevance to EYF priorities and a realistic implementation plan.
