About Organisation
The SWITCH-Asia Programme is an initiative funded by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Partnerships to accelerate the transition toward sustainable consumption and production (SCP) across Asia. Operating under the Global Gateway framework, it supports large-scale, high-impact projects that foster greener value chains, reduce environmental stress, and promote resource-efficient economic growth. Since its inception, SWITCH-Asia has worked closely with governments, civil society, research institutions, and the private sector to mainstream sustainability practices. The programme aims to empower Asian countries with the knowledge, tools, and partnerships required to embed sustainability in production systems, consumer behaviour, and policy frameworks.
About the Grant
The SWITCH-Asia Call for Proposals—“Scaling up Sustainable Consumption and Production under Global Gateway”—focuses on supporting action grants that accelerate SCP practices across eligible Asian countries. With a total budget of EUR 25 million, the program aims to advance circular economy solutions, reduce pollution and waste, enhance green value chains, and strengthen private-sector sustainability innovations. Projects may address policy support, community-level engagement, technological innovation, or industry transition pathways. Grants ranging from EUR 2.5 million to 4 million will be awarded to impactful, multi-stakeholder initiatives capable of delivering measurable environmental, economic, and social benefits while contributing to regional climate and sustainability goals.
