The keynote explored India’s transition to a circular economy as a significant economic opportunity. Mallick highlighted the potential for India’s circular economy to reach $300–400 billion by 2030. The discussion examined how circularity can strengthen resource security, and create new opportunities for innovation, entrepreneurship, and industrial growth. A central theme was the importance of building collaborative ecosystems. The opportunity lies in organisations focusing on their strengths, partnering to complete the value chain, and creating viable solutions together.

The session explored what the growing EV adoption means for the next stage of India’s mobility transition, particularly the shift towards commercial EVs and the infrastructure required to support it. Dialogue centred around the need for financial structures and models can help address the specific realities of commercial mobility and create stronger pathways for businesses to adopt electric fleets. The conversation connected mobility with the wider energy transition, highlighting the need to build systems that support both electrification and cleaner energy use. Consistent government support was discussed as an important factor in enabling long-term investment and reducing uncertainty for businesses. An integrated approach with coordination across government, industry, financiers, energy providers, and technology innovators was a central exploration of the discussion.

The session discussed the possibilities of a more sustainable future for Indian farming, with the focus on moving towards stronger soil health, farmer prosperity, and sustainable food systems, while recognising the realities of rural communities and livelihoods. The panel explored re-engagement with traditional Indian agricultural roots, and the need for technology that solves problems at the ground level. The discussion also highlighted the role of trusted local networks in enabling technology adoption. Village-level community groups can help bridge the gap between urban innovators and rural communities. The panel’s discussion reinforced the importance of patient capital, practical innovation, and sustained engagement with rural communities.

This dialogue explored the opportunities emerging across water, sanitation, renewable energy, and circularity, and the conditions required to build climate businesses that are both environmentally meaningful and commercially viable. A central theme was the importance of full-stack accountability, and the value creation that emerges, when businesses take responsibility across the lifecycle of a solution, from technology and installation to operations, maintenance, and long-term performance. Alongside this, the conversation spanned across exploring the role of creative and patient capital, strategic corporate partnerships, and simplifying the customer experience to accelerate behavioural change and adoption.

The second part of the clean-resource dialogue underlined discussion around unlocking the full potential of its CSR ecosystem by moving towards strategic, measurable, and long-term social investment. A central theme was the shift from CSR spend to strategic investment. Water also emerged as an important example of the need for long-term thinking. Its significance has expanded operational and raw-material security, and increasingly to broader climate, biodiversity, and supply-chain risks. The discussion recognised that meaningful collaboration often requires longer processes of partner selection, co-design, community engagement, due diligence, and board approvals.The discussion reinforced the value of moving towards co-created programmes, stronger evidence, and long-term change.

The final session explored what it takes to build impactful and investable businesses within India’s sustainability transition. A key theme was founder-product fit, exploring how investors assess founders beyond the pitch deck, looking for conviction and self-awareness. The conversation also examined capital-market fit and the importance of choosing the right capital rather than simply seeking more capital. The discussion also looked at emerging opportunities across physical AI and cognitive robotics, advanced materials, and bio-manufacturing. The panel emphasised that fundraising is ultimately about finding alignment between the founder, the investor, the market, and the capital structure.

Beyond the Stage: Building Relationships, Community, and Collaboration

Through our Art partners HYCA and Goonj, participants experienced a more interactive and human-centred approach to networking. These engagements created space for people to connect beyond their professional roles, exchange perspectives, and build relationships across the wider impact ecosystem.

The inaugural AndPurpose FutureMakers Lab! brought together 180+ attendees, including young people, career transitioners and ecosystem leaders, to explore purpose-driven careers, and the future of work. A Career Discovery Workshop, led by TopRankers Udaan × Masters’ Union, helped participants explore career pathways and make more informed decisions about their professional futures.
The Lab concluded with the QS ImpACT SDG Pitch Challenge, giving young innovators a platform to present solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. By bringing participants into direct contact with practitioners and resources, the Lab helped make purpose-driven careers more tangible and accessible, creating pathways for young people to take action across sustainability and social impact.

As part of AndPurpose Forums, Hyderabad 2026, Humane World for Animals India hosted a dedicated CSR Side Event bringing together corporates, CSR leaders, nonprofits, and impact stakeholders to explore animal welfare within India’s evolving CSR and sustainability landscape. A central theme was the importance of cross-sector partnerships with corporates, nonprofits,and foundations, bringing distinct strengths, from funding and implementation to research and advocacy. Attended by CSR Heads, the event created an opportunity for dialogue around animal welfare and its interconnectedness with human welfare, biodiversity, climate resilience, livelihoods, & food systems, creating a broader lens through which organisations can understand its relevance to social and environmental outcomes.The Lab concluded with the QS ImpACT SDG Pitch Challenge, giving young innovators a platform to present solutions aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The Purpose Pitch and Social Innovation Exhibit formed an important part of the Hyderabad Forum’s wider agenda, creating a platform for entrepreneurs and mission-driven organisations to present solutions addressing social and environmental challenges. The format reflected the Forum’s emphasis on connecting innovation, capital, and implementation. By creating space for emerging solutions to be presented alongside conversations on sustainability, investment, and systems change, the pitch and exhibit helped connect ideas with the wider ecosystem of founders, investors, institutions, and potential collaborators.
