The Transition Assistance Fund supports fisheries working towards MSC certification through the In-Transition to MSC Program. Who can Apply?
Fisheries that are currently enrolled in the In-Transition to MSC Program and have verified action plans in place are eligible to apply for this grant. The fund supports those committed to making improvements necessary for MSC certification. Applicants must demonstrate a clear plan to implement changes in line with sustainability requirements and progress verification. The fisheries can be at various stages in the certification process but should be actively working towards achieving MSC certification. Applicants should be able to provide evidence of their ongoing transition efforts.
How to Apply?
Applications must be submitted online. Fisheries should prepare a comprehensive proposal that outlines their transition plans toward MSC certification. The proposal should detail the actions to be funded, as well as how these actions will help the fishery achieve MSC sustainability standards.
